How Philipp stayed tuned and lost 46 kilos of body fat

Get to know Philipp, the education student who turns women's heads. Philipp was able to start studying earlier than many of his school friends. That wasn't a reason to celebrate, it was a shock. When he weighed 139 kilos during the inspection, he was retired as "unfit".

At that moment he knew that something had to change ...

“As an ambitious basketball player, I was convinced that I could do more. However, my body couldn't. "

In the next 2 years he managed to lose a total of 46 kilos of body fat and then gain 7 kilos of muscle mass. Let's relive how Philipp, in addition to his physical change, also completely renewed the rest of his life.

Philipp's story

My name is Philipp and I am 24 years old. I am studying special education with a focus on pedagogy for behavioral disorders to become a teacher. So after my studies I will work as a teacher with children who are “difficult to bring up” - including in sports.

I've been doing sports for 8 years because my father once took me to the gym. The reason? He wanted to spare me back pain and bad posture: Thanks to my height of 2.03 m, these are pre-programmed. But it wasn't until 6 years later that I realized the connection between diet and exercise.

I wanted to lose weight and reach my target weight of 107 kg. I exceeded this goal by another 14 kg! Within 2 years I was able to lose a total of 46 kg. Then I built up 7 kg of muscle mass, with the body fat percentage dropping by another 3%.

I found out some things about keto diet on real ketones website that I didn't know earlier, although I've been dealing with it for a while now. In addition, I finally understand how my body works: I knew THAT I was on the right track, now I also know WHY. This made it much easier for me to get my friends and family excited about my goal. I can confirm that based on my experiences and successes.

There were basically three "aha effects":

  1. The Bundeswehr retired because I was overweight.

  2. At that time, the scales showed a new high: 139 kg. That was a shock to me!

  3. As an ambitious basketball player, I was convinced: “I can do more!” However, my body couldn't.

I lost 47 kg and reduced my body fat percentage from 39% to 9%. I am healthier, I feel much better. Above all, I have more self-confidence and self-confidence in everyday life. Other people react much more positively to me.

What strikes me in particular is that I now have an extreme attraction for women ... 🙂

My first contact was a nutritionist. He gave me a nutrition plan and a suitable training plan.

From then on, my diet was very protein-rich and rich in vegetables. I have largely avoided carbohydrates.

I've tried a couple of times before to lose my weight. Partly with success. However, I kept gaining weight afterwards - the well-known yo-yo effect...

Set yourself a goal that is “smart” - clearly defined and measurable. Be aware that regressions can always occur. These apparent "setbacks" are nothing more than challenges to really test how hard you are striving for this goal. See this step backwards as an opportunity to finally overcome an obstacle that initially appeared too big.

Keep reminding yourself why you want this goal. Motives are the engine of our actions and therefore extremely important to persevere. Make pictures of your progress so that after a while you can see what progress you have made. When you look back, it's only to see how far you've come. Every little step brings you closer to your goal! Always remember: You are unique!

I will continue to eat healthily. It means to me:

  • I cook myself - so I know what's inside.

  • I eat a lot of vegetables and protein.

  • In fitness training, I focus on definition and strength

I would choose the ability to fly like Superman! It would be really awesome to fly through the air like an eagle. Whenever I had lost something and after a while met my friends, they would ask me about my weight. In the meantime it is already so far that they no longer recognize me in old pictures and can no longer remember that I ever looked different! I have to smile about that again and again ... 😉

Why Philipp was successful

Although Philipp had been doing sports regularly for years, he kept gaining weight. The first and most important step was that he made the conscious decision: "Now you change something!" He found a way that ultimately brought him enormous success.

Let's take a look at why it was and is successful:

  • An absolute goal: Philipp knew what he wanted. He not only had a measurable goal, for which he was willing to do what is to be done for it. He also had a "well-defined" picture of it. He knew what his body would look like one day. He made it a habit to grapple with what he really wants and why.

  • Stay tuned: Philipp did not just give up after the first step backwards. He couldn't keep up the first diets in the long term and the yo-yo effect occurred. But he stayed at it, sought outside support. He saw even things that didn't work as an opportunity to learn from.

  • Changing one habit at a time: 50 pounds is a great success. Philipp set himself small sub-goals, like his first goal - 107 kilos. He went step by step, changed one habit at a time - and was able to celebrate successes continuously. That gave him the necessary tailwind to keep going.

  • Focus on nutrition: Nutrition accounts for 70-80% of your success if you want to lose weight. A lean body and muscles are created in the kitchen. You read these mantras over and over again with me. Also because a lot of people are on the wrong track. They think training makes all the difference. Philipp had been doing sports for years. As soon as he realized that diet had the greatest impact on his body and he focused his energy on it, he began to see results.

  • Sustainable changes: Philipp pursues long-term goals. He started his journey a good 2 years ago and it's not finished yet. The changes in his diet that really moved him forward weren't 14-day crash diets, expensive fat burners or other supposed “shortcuts”, but rather small, continuous adjustments - and lots and lots of patience. Changes that he knew he could make over the long term.

Start now!

If you are like Philipp a while ago - start now! You cannot change the past and that it is over now sets you free. You only influence your goal, what you really want, today .

It doesn't matter whether you want to lose 100 pounds or crack the last 2 pounds. Today is the perfect day to do something about it!

Do not let yourself be overwhelmed by the huge task that lies ahead of you - Philipp could have done that too. Every step, no matter how small, is better than continuing to stand by and watch helplessly for the next 2, 5 or even 10 years as your body continues to develop away from what you really want.

Try different things until you find what works for you. In the first litter Philipp did not discover the nutrition that helped him. But he stayed tuned.

Find people who will help you. Friends, mentors, role models - whether in person, in books or online. Everyone finds their success in a different way .
